A few things you might wonder.
What does AutoEq do for my headphones?
AutoEq uses published headphone measurements to calculate an EQ correction toward a target sound. Choose your exact headphone model and mode. This finder serves precomputed AutoEq settings; it does not measure your own pair, your hearing, or your ear-tip seal.
How many headphone profiles are included?
This snapshot includes all 8,853 published source profiles across 6,033 model and variant names. A model may have measurements from several labs. Where available, the finder opens the source recommended by AutoEq’s own index; you can switch to another measurement.
Is the headphone EQ finder free?
Yes. Searching, previewing and downloading files are free, without an account. Echo Equalizer is a separate Android product with its own free and Pro features. You do not need to buy Echo to download these settings.
Which EQ file should I download?
Choose 10-band for a fixed graphic equalizer, Parametric for an equalizer with frequency, gain and Q controls, or GraphicEQ for a compatible importer such as Equalizer APO. Keep the published preamp when applying a profile. These formats are not interchangeable.
How do I use the downloaded profile in Echo?
The Echo 10-band JSON uses the published fixed-band correction and your tone choice, within the app’s supported gain range. Import it from Echo’s profile menu. It is a manual graphic-EQ approximation, not a native Auto EQ configuration. It follows the inspected app source; installed versions and Android filters may differ.
What do More bass and Gentle highs change?
More bass adds a 2 dB low-shelf preference adjustment. Gentle highs adds a 2 dB high-shelf cut. They are personal adjustments layered over the published correction. Original AutoEq text downloads remain unchanged; the Echo JSON includes your chosen adjustment.
Why does the browser preview sound quieter?
Boosted frequencies need headroom. The browser uses the same conservative gain reduction for both Original and With EQ, so the comparison does not intentionally reward a louder preset. Perceived loudness can still differ. The preview approximates the filters and does not process sound from other browser tabs or Android apps.
Where does the data come from?
The profiles come from a pinned AutoEq GitHub snapshot at commit 7ae0f56d53074872b028649617a22bbb4232feb7, imported October 10, 2026. Each profile identifies its original measurement source. MIT notices and credits are included. Profile selection loads our own static files and does not depend on AutoEq’s live website.
Does my audio get uploaded?
No. Demo playback and selected audio files are processed in your browser. Audio and filenames are not sent to Hapibits. Existing website analytics record fixed tool-use identifiers. Reloading clears the selected audio.
